In the early 1940’s in the small town of Alvin, South Carolina when Ruby Greene’s husband, Addison “Jack” Greene, returned home from his tour of duty serving in the United States Army (World War II ’42-’45) Ruby and Jack would throw house parties in their small home which everyone in the neighborhood could not wait to attend to get their homemade BBQ and with the homemade BBQ sauce. It became a must have in the community.

People from all over town would want their sauce, not just when they were at Ruby and Jack’s party, but for their own home as well.

This would go on for years until their son Travis, got into the family trade. Using what he learned from his parents Ruby and Jack a Travis took this sauce and made it his own in the early 80’s. Travis’ famous Ruby Jack BBQ Sauce is made with his parent’s secret ingredients, passion, love and integrity that his parents used in the early 1940’s.

 

Ruby Jack BBQ Sauce is very complimentary to not just BBQ pork, but it also goes well with seafood, turkey, beef and even your favorite chips and dips .There have not been many dishes that Ruby Jack BBQ sauce cannot compliment. Southerners even use it over rice and greens.

 

Ruby Jack BBQ Sauce is name in honor of Mr. Addison (Jack) Greene for his service to America and his beloved wife Ruby.
